Boutique purchases STYLE X for $45 (wholesale) item along with some other styles. Average shipping cost = $15, so landed in store = approx $47.

In store the item for $47 (Cost to Boutique) on average sells for 2x - 2.25x markup

MARKUP IN STORE WHEN CUSTOMER PURCHASES

$47 x 2 = $94 or $47 x 2.25 = $105.75.

OTHER OVERHEAD not included in the above (boutique rent, employees, property tax, utilities, insurance etc…) Approximate cost = $4 per unit in store

PROFIT AFTER OVERHEAD.

$94 - $4(overhead costs) = $90. $105.75 - $4 = $101.75

How? Clara Sunwoo spends approximately $250,000 in marketing advertisements and educating the customer why they should buy Clara Sunwoo. This marketing initiative is very difficutlt to do in stores and to educate about our brand. It is our longterm vision that every time your customer shops in your boutique they will not only find that prices are better than online but that they will be more knowledgeable about the brand. When the same customer leaves the store the potential to sell to that customer goes to 0%. However with the customer share program the customer will now recieve marketing materials via email and social media up to 3-5x per week with potential sales at any given time.

In sum, the customer understands the brand identity, 2. the customer has an insentive to purchase in store due to cometitive pricing and the boutique experience. When not in store there is still the potential to purchase online.
